10G BiDi SFP+ Optical Transceivers
10G BiDi SFP+ Optical Transceivers provide high-speed, long-distance connectivity while maximizing fiber efficiency by transmitting and receiving data over a single strand of single-mode fiber. At Compufox, we offer a comprehensive selection of BiDi SFP+ transceivers designed to deliver reliable 10-gigabit performance in fiber-constrained environments.
These transceivers use dual-wavelength (Tx/Rx) technology, allowing two BiDi modules with complementary wavelengths to operate as a matched pair over simplex fiber. Our portfolio supports common BiDi distances ranging from 10 km up to 100 km, making them suitable for campus networks, metro links, data center interconnects, and service provider deployments.
All 10G BiDi SFP+ optical transceivers from Compufox are fully tested for performance, interoperability, and reliability, ensuring seamless compatibility with leading switching and routing platforms. Whether you are extending network reach, conserving fiber infrastructure, or upgrading existing 10G links, our BiDi SFP+ transceivers provide a cost-effective and scalable fiber solution.
10G BiDi SFP+ Pairing Guide (Tx/Rx Wavelength Matching)
10G BiDi (BiDirectional) SFP+ optical transceivers transmit and receive data over a single strand of single-mode fiber by using two different wavelengths. For a BiDi link to work correctly, the two transceivers must be installed as a matched wavelength pair.
How BiDi Wavelength Pairing Works
Each BiDi transceiver uses one wavelength to transmit (Tx) and a different wavelength to receive (Rx). The device at the opposite end of the fiber must use the inverse wavelength configuration.
Example BiDi Pair
| Side A Module |
Side B Module |
Fiber Used |
| Tx: 1270 nm / Rx: 1330 nm |
Tx: 1330 nm / Rx: 1270 nm |
Single-mode (simplex) |
These two modules are designed to work together and must always be installed as a matched pair.

Important BiDi Deployment Notes
- BiDi transceivers must always be installed in matched pairs.
- Tx wavelength on one end must match the Rx wavelength on the other end.
- Both modules must support the same distance and power budget.
- BiDi optics use LC connectors but only require one fiber strand.
- Do not mix BiDi optics with standard dual-fiber SFP+ modules.
Why Choose 10G BiDi SFP+
- Saves up to 50% on fiber infrastructure
- Ideal for fiber-constrained buildings or metro links
- Supports distances from 10 km up to 100 km
