Key Technical CapabilitiesComprehensive Protocol Support: Finisar XFP modules are multi-protocol by design, supporting 10G Ethernet, 10G Fibre Channel, and SONET/SDH rates (OC-192/STM-64). Enhanced Signal Processing: Unlike the smaller SFP+, XFP modules typically handle more of the signal processing (EDC - Electronic Dispersion Compensation) within the module itself. This makes them highly reliable for "noisy" or complex optical paths. Broad Reach Selection: We offer Finisar XFP solutions for every distance requirement: SR (Short Reach): Up to 300m over multimode fiber. LR (Long Reach): Up to 10km over single-mode fiber. ER/ZR (Extended/Zephyr Reach): For ultra-long-haul spans ranging from 40km to 80km.
